When I moved to St. Andrews in the Autumn of 2005 I was in a lot of residual pain from a bad car accident that occurred in 2003. I was looking for someone who could help me with some kind of body work. I came across Alison’s flier, which advertised her use of the Bowen Technique, and made an appointment with her. I began weekly appointments with Alison, during which she gave me a combination of Bowen and Reiki. Alison’s treatments healed my long standing physical problems, changing my life completely.
During this time Alison became a confidante and counselor to me. She is wise, intuitive, and patient and has a gift in the way she is able to identify the problems in people’s lives and guide them to the solutions. She helped me to sort through a lot of emotional and relational issues from my past, and guided me through some difficult times. Alison’s greatest gift was teaching me how to solve problems in my own life. She doesn’t create dependence with the people she helps, but fosters independence. For instance, she taught me how to practice Reiki myself. She became such a dear friend to me and made my experience in St. Andrews special for many reasons besides my academic life. (RR, USA)

Over the last two and a half years, Alison has trained me through the complete Usui Reiki system. It has been, and continues to be, an amazing journey. Alison is a highly dedicated Reiki Master Teacher (amongst many other gifts and abilities) who has whole-heartedly enabled me to become a Reiki Master myself, showing compassion, humility and understanding always. Through the variety of experiences I have had in my training, Alison has always been open-minded and patient, helping me to gain insights into such experiences and build a greater awareness of the world around us. Alison is an extremely caring and gentle person, I particularly appreciated this around the time of my Reiki 1 training with feelings of inadequacy and ignorance about Reiki. Alison quickly taught me that I was perfectly capable, as everyone is, to channel Reiki, and I have never looked back! I am now a teaching Reiki Master myself, something that I never dreamed possible two years ago, thanks to Alison's continuing, unwavering support. She is certainly a Reiki Master to aspire to.
